Charleston County searching for suspect who stole firearms from Johns Island home

Charleston County sheriff’s investigators say this man stole two firearms from a Johns Island home in June.

Charleston County sheriff’s investigators are asking for help in identifying a man they say stole two firearms from a Johns Island home.

The burglary happened June 7 on River Road, according to a release. The suspect is described as a 19- to 25-year-old Hispanic male and was caught on surveillance footage walking through the victims’ home carrying their belongings.

He stole a .357-caliber pistol and a 12-gauge shotgun, according to the release.
