Celebrating the Ravenel bridge through LEGOs

It’s hard to believe we are approaching the 10th anniversary of the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge opening. To honor this Lowcountry landmark, The Post and Courier has teamed up with Bright Bricks, home to the UK’s only LEGO Certified Professional, to produce a replica of the beloved bridge made of LEGO bricks.

With more than 1,500 pieces, the custom set includes both spans and such details as the popular walking path. The 3-foot long replica will appeal to LEGO enthusiasts of all ages and those who want to own a treasured Charleston memento. In addition to the LEGO bridge set, the limited edition packages include two commemorative books about the bridge.

The package retails for $325 plus shipping, handling and tax. Only 400 are available for sale at postandcourier.com/legobridge.

For another opportunity celebrating the bridge, visit Patriots Point July 18-19 for a family-friendly anniversary event including a live build of a 25-foot LEGO replica the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge.
