Brawlers tear up downtown Charleston Family Dollar

Charleston police want to identify these three suspects in a fight that broke out about 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Family Dollar at 1015 King St.

Charleston police are asking for help finding a group of men who tore up a Family Dollar store in a brawl Tuesday.

The fight broke out about 4 p.m. inside the store at 1015 King St. Several men who appeared to be in their mid-20s were buying cellphones when another group came into the store and started fighting with them, according to the incident report. Display racks were overturned and merchandise scattered around the store.

Employees recognized two of the men involved, according to the incident report.

The fight was caught on the store’s surveillance cameras. Police are asking for help identifying three black men: one with a white T-shirt and red-and-white basketball shorts; another with dreadlocks, a white T-shirt and blue jeans; and a third with a purple T-shirt and purple shorts.

Anyone with information is asked to call dispatch at 743-7200 and ask for the on-call Charleston detective or leave a tip with Crime Stoppers at 554-1111.
