The two Republicans in the 1st Congressional District runoff will faceoff next Thursday, March 28 at Charleston’s Porter Gaud School.

Mark Sanford and Curtis Bostic will take part in the event billed as a SCGOP/National Journal debate.

“The eyes of the country will be watching this debate, and we want you there!” Republicans said in their announcement seeking event hosts.

Sanford finished first Tuesday in the 16-way field with 37 percent of the more than 53,000 votes cast. Bostic finished second and made the runoff with 13 percent, according to unofficials returns.
