Body recovered from Remley’s Point Boat Landing identified as 50-year-old Mount Pleasant man

The body of a 50-year-old Mount Pleasant man was recovered near Remley’s Point Boat Landing on Sunday, according to officials.

Charleston County Deputy Coroner Dottie Lindsay identified the victim as John Iadicicco. His cause of death was not released.

Authorities responded to the boat landing Sunday afternoon for a report of a body in the water. A U.S. Coast Guard dispatcher said they had boats on the way when they were told the body had been recovered.

Charleston County Consolidated dispatchers confirmed Mount Pleasant police were on the scene and referred questions to that department.

Mount Pleasant police did not return calls and messages for comment, but tweeted that the boat landing was closed and then open again without further detail.
