The Charleston County Coroner’s Office said the bicyclist died at 5:30 p.m. at Medical University Hospital. He hasn’t yet been identified.

County sheriff’s Maj. Jim Brady said that the bicyclist was traveling beside Folly Road at 4:45 p.m., with the flow of traffic, and he sidewsiped a sport utility vehicle traveling in the same direction.

The bicyclist lost control and was stuck by a second vehicle. The accident happened near 2323 Folly Road, he said.
