The Best Friend 1800s replica train returns to Charleston on Sunday to take its place in the Best Friend Museum in the Camden Shed.
The train will arrive on a flatbed truck that will bring it down I-26 to King Street. Authorities are unsure which exit it will take, but it is expected to be on King Street about 7:45 a.m. and turn left onto John Street. Street parking in the area will be closed.
Plans are to arrive at the museum shortly after 8 a.m. It will take until about 2 p.m. to get it in place in its new glass facility.
Visitors can watch from the steps at the Charleston Music Hall, 37 John St.
The completed museum is scheduled to open for exhibit in early 2014.
