The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office DUI team has begun stepping-up their patrol for impaired driver, seatbelt violations and other traffic offenses during the upcoming summer months.

Throughout the “100 Deadly Days of Summer,” which begins Memorial Day weekend and continues through Labor Day, the team will be on extreme alert for violators.

The team will be working with different law enforcement agencies within the county, adjacent to the county as well as with the South Carolina Highway Patrol conducting numerous public safety checkpoints throughout the summer.
