Berkeley County authorities looking for 18-year-old in armed robbery of convenience store

Berkeley County authorities have identified a man accused of opening fire last week during a robbery at a Pringletown Quick Stop.

Sadiqq Amonee Burgess, 18, whose address was not released, is wanted in the Thursday armed robbery of the convenience store on Old Gilliard Road near Ridgeville.

He is believed to be in the Summerville area and is to be considered armed and dangerous, according to a Tuesday media release from the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office.

The robbery occurred shortly before 11 p.m. and was captured on the store’s video camera, according to an incident report. The robber fired a gun inside the store and tried to fire a second time but the gun appeared to malfunction. He made off with $4,500 and 16 packs of Newport cigarettes.
