A man was robbed at gunpoint in Walterboro while walking to a convenience store to buy cigarettes, according to police. The 35-year-old Walterboro man told investigators he was on Sniders Highway walking to the BP gas station at around 12:20 a.m. when a man he recognized asked him for change for a dollar, according to an incident report.

The alleged victim told police when he reached into his pocket another man walked up behind him and pointed a gun at his head, the incident report stated. The two suspects walked the man into a parking lot and robbed him of $140, according to the report. A 15-year-old was arrested and charged with armed robbery, according to investigators. A 17-year-old is also listed as an offender on the report, but he has not been arrested.
