As the first day of the fall season approaches, temperatures in the Lowcountry are expected to cool off a bit, according to forecasters with the National Weather Service.

On Monday, there’s a chance of afternoon showers and high temperatures are expected to reach the upper 80s. Low temperatures are likely to remain in the 70s until Tuesday, when the low temperature will be in the 60s.

More rain is also expected on Tuesday. On Wednesday, skies are likely to remain clear through Sunday with high temperatures in the mid to lower 80s and low temperatures in the 60s.

There is also a slight chance of rain on Sunday.
