Art Institute of Charleston president to step down in September

Richard Jerue (PROVIDED)

Richard Jerue, president of the Art Institute of Charleston, will step down at the end of September after leading the school for six years.

In a written statement Tuesday, Jerue said he wanted to announce his planned departure as soon as possible so the school’s Board of Trustees and the leaders at the Education Management Corporation, which owns the school, would have time to recruit and select the institute’s next leader.
