While her three children cried in nearby rooms, a pregnant woman was held on a floor at gunpoint by men who kicked in a back door and sifted the home for valuables.

The Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday it has arrested two of the three men suspected in the terrifying home-invasion robbery. A third man is being sought, Dorchester County sheriff’s Maj. John Garrison said.

He said the arrests follow “an extensive investigation.”

Deputies responded about 4:40 a.m. March 29 to 186 Apache Drive, Summerville, where a 26-year-old woman, who was 13 weeks pregnant, reported three or four men forced their way into the home.

She and her children were held at gunpoint by the men, who took a computer, cash, guns, jewelry and other personal belongings, a sheriff’s report said.

Garrison said warrants have been issued charging all three suspects with first-degree burglary, armed robbery and four counts of kidnapping,

Two men, both Summerville residents, are in custody: Tevin Shaquille Hart, 18, of Ancrum Lane, and Martin Young III, 24, of Sangaree Parkway, Building 1, Apartment 1. They are being held at the Dorchester County Detention Center.

Joshua Manigault, 26, of Peachtree Road, Walterboro, is being sought, Garrison said.

Sheriff’s Lt. Tony Phinney said investigators determined that only three men were responsible for the home invasion.

He said Young has been in jail since the weekend, when he was picked up for service of a bench warrant. Hart was arrested Tuesday, he said.

The report said that the woman and her children were sleeping, and her husband was at work, when her dog jumped off the bed and began barking. The woman was holding the dog by its collar when the invaders kicked in the laundry room door.

The woman attempted to retreat to her bedroom, but one of the men followed and kicked the bedroom door open, took her cellphone and ordered her on the floor. A man sat on her back and put a gun to her head, the report said.

The woman feared for her life and begged the men to take what they wanted but spare her and the children. A robber stated, “Wrong person, wrong house,” but told the children, who were crying, to stay in their rooms, the report said.

The report said the invaders feared the dog and told the woman to put it outside. After the dog was out, the man reportedly sat on the woman’s back again, holding her down, and telling her, “Don’t worry, wrong place, wrong person.”

The woman told investigators the invaders demanded she open a gun safe, and when she could not, they took the entire safe. While leaving, the robbers snatched her laptop, wallet and other items. The woman took the children next door after the men were gone, and called for help, the report said.

The report said deputies summoned EMS to check on the woman, since she was pregnant.
