COLUMBIA, S.C. -- Three people are facing murder charges in the death of a man whose burned body was found last week near Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia.

Police said 27-year-old Tymeka Moore, 31-year-old Jimmy Dunbar Jr. and 34-year-old Yusuf Aquil were charged with murder, kidnapping and armed robbery.

Investigators say the suspects killed 60-year-old Marion Spencer on Sept. 17 and set fire to his body. Firefighters who came to put out the blaze found his remains.

Authorities say Spencer’s pickup truck was found burned a few hours later.

Investigators are still trying to determine why Spencer was killed.

All three suspects remain in the Richland County jail. It wasn’t clear if any of them had lawyers.
