Stokes Hodges Ford, in Graniteville, played host to a relatively youthful crowd Feb. 20, with Cub Scout Pack 115 having its annual Pinewood Derby races at the dealership, in the service bay. The idea was to allow the event to take place in a relatively pandemic-resistant environment, with plenty of room for racers, parents and leaders, along with the handcrafted race cars moving at the scale equivalent of NASAR-type speeds.  The tradition has its origins in California in the middle 1950s.
