PICKENS — Pickens County sheriff’s deputies have arrested five people and accused them of vandalizing three churches.
Sheriff David Stone says someone damaged Glassy Mountain View Baptist Church, Tabor United Methodist Church and New Life Church of God between Sunday and Tuesday.
Eighteen-year-old David Allen Stephens of Six Mile; a 17-year-old female, two 14-year-olds and a 12 year-old have been arrested.
Each of them are charged with three counts of malicious injury to a place of worship. The maximum penalty is 10 years I in prison.
It wasn’t clear if the suspects have lawyers.
