Tips led to capture of sex-offender fugitive, Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office says

Wanted sex offender Jesse Gill was captured Thursday.

A wanted sex offender is in custody thanks to tips from the public, according to the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office.

The Sheriff’s Office put out a notice Wednesday that Jesse Gill, who has the number 13 tattooed on his neck, was wanted after failing to register as a sex offender for the second time. Deputies and U.S. marshals took him into custody Thursday morning on Rivers Avenue in North Charleston, according to a Facebook post.

“Thanks for the tips on Jesse Gill, with your assistance the Berkeley County Sheriffs Office & the U.S. Marshals Task Force has been taken into custody,” according to the post.
