What: The Johns Island Homegrown Market features local farmers and artisans, prepared food vendors and live musicians.

What: Middleton Place will be celebrating Independence all weekend with readings of the Declaration of Independence and interactive demonstrations that will take place throughout the day. Activities include meeting a Revolutionary soldier, colonial crafts, games and a hands-on military drill.

When: 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

What: The History Fair will be a collection of organizations that will present information and lead interactive activities. There will be also be dancing, drummers, storytelling, a brick-making demonstration and special lectures.

What: Local entertainers Gracie & Lacy and the Legends Swing Band will present “Come Fly With Me,” featuring a tribute to great American heroes set to the swingin’ hits of the Great American Songbook, reminiscent of the Bob Hope and Andrews Sisters USO shows of the past.
