A 19-year-old North Charleston man was arrested Friday for sexual exploitation of a minor, according to authorities.
Andrew Hillman, of Lambs Road, was arrested shortly after 2 p.m. Friday by Charleston County deputies and members of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
Hillman is charged with attempted disseminating of obscene material to a minor, two counts of criminal solicitation to a minor, and five counts of attempt contributing to delinquency of a minor, according to a news release.
Hillman also faced an added charge of the manufacture and posession of a bomb.
Maj. Eric Watson, a spokesman for the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office, said it turned out to be a hoax device that did not pose a threat to the community.
Hillman was arrested at his home without incident.
His bond was set at $110,000 during a Saturday morning bond hearing.
Hillman will be held at the Sheriff Al Cannon Detention Center.
