A child was taken to the hospital Tuesday after falling into a North Charleston pond, according to dispatch officials.
North Charleston police responded around 2 p.m. to a “pond area” off Bonaparte Drive, near Dorchester Road.
The child stepped away from a grandparent’s yard and ended up in the pond, according to spokesman Spencer Pryor. The child’s condition has not been released.
