Charleston police looking for pick-pocketing suspects

These three men are suspected of pick-pocketing a woman at Carolina Ale House on Calhoun Street.

Charleston police are searching for three men who are accused of pick-pocketing a woman and then using her credit cards at the Citadel Mall.

The men sat behind the victim at Carolina Ale House on Calhoun Street on June 16 when one of them used a jacket to conceal his arm and reach into her purse, according to a news release from the Charleston Police Department.

The man grabbed the woman’s wallet, stole two credit cards, then put the wallet back in the woman’s purse, which was hanging over her chair at the sports bar. The three men then left the area and went to Citadel Mall, where they spent more than $3,000, according to the release.

Anyone with information about the men is asked to call dispatch at 843-743-7200 and ask for the on-call Charleston Police Department detective.
