Charleston police investigating homicide in downtown Charleston

Charleston police are investigating the death of a homicide victim who died of blunt force trauma.

Police say Gerald Lee Dilligard, 27, of Charleston, was found inside a Rosemont Street residence early Saturday morning by a family member.

Dilligard was identified by the Charleston County Coroner’s Office.

Officers responded to the home around 1 a.m. and saw that the Dilligard’s body had wounds and injuries to it.
