Two men are presumably drowned and another man was charged with felony boating under the influence after a boating incident that sent several people overboard, according to the S.C. Department of Natural Resources.

Jacque Bracewell Jr., whose age and address have not been released, was driving a 35-foot Contender vessel with seven people aboard when he made an abrupt turn. DNR was called to the scene at 8 p.m. Saturday, along with several other agencies, and everyone who went into the water was rescued except for two men, ages 47 and 51, according to Capt. Robert McCullough. It occurred about three miles from Short Stay boat landing in Moncks Corner.

An extensive search for the men is underway with divers and a helicopter, but McCullough said Sunday evening that they were presumed drowned and the search had become a recovery. No one saw the two surface after the boating incident, he added.

McCullough said one woman was taken to a hospital after the incident, treated and released. No other information was available.

Bracewell is being held at the Berkeley County jail
