Charleston's 350th Commemoration

In 2020, the City of Charleston and its citizens will commemorate its 350th anniversary of the arrival of English settlers from Barbados to Charles Towne Landing in 1670 and share Charleston’s full and accurate story up to the present day. Throughout the year, we will honor the customs, diverse cultures, and rich heritage through a deep reflection and true representation of the city’s history.

Due to COVID-19 crisis and the unprecedented times we are facing, the production of our Charleston 350 signature events has been put on hold. Our team is looking at creative ways where we can continue to commemorate our beloved city. Please stay connected and healthy during this challenging time. We are a resilient community and together, we will make it through the days ahead. This year will certainly go down as a historic year for Charleston, our nation and the world.
