Snee Farm to defend title at City Swim Meet

Snee Farm will aim for its third straight championship at the Coastal Carolina Aquatic Association’s 49th annual City Swim Meet this weekend at the Goose Creek Community Pool and Crowfield Golf and Country Club.

The meet, including swimmers from 19 neighborhood teams from around the Lowcountry, will begin at 5:40 p.m. Friday with 11 and 12-year-olds. The 7-8 and 9-10 age groups will compete at 9:10 a.m. Saturday, with the 13-14 and 15-18 age groups going at 2:10 p.m. Sunday.

Snee Farm (8-0) topped the CCAA’s Red League in the regular season, followed by Coosaw Creek (7-1) and Newington (6-2). Hobcaw (5-3) won the White League, and Longpoint led the Blue League at 8-0.

Spectators are asked to park at nearby Stratford High School and take shuttle buses to the pool.
