RiverDogs to play DH on Friday

— After sporadic storms delayed the first pitch for an hour, the Charleston RiverDogs’ series opener with Asheville was postponed on Thursday night at McCormick Field. The RiverDogs will play a doubleheader with the Tourists on Friday beginning at 5:05 p.m. in a pair of seven-inning games.

The RiverDogs will send RHP Domingo German (0-1, 5.40 ERA) in the first game to face RHP Ryan McCormick (0-0, 6.43). In the second game, Charleston will trot out RHP Cody Carroll (2-3, 3.32) as the Tourists counter with RHP Peter Lambert (3-6, 2.97).

Fans can tune in to the early game on riverdogs.com and the TuneIn Radio app. The broadcast will go live on WTMA 1250-AM starting at 7 p.m.

The RiverDogs finish out their road trip with a four-day weekend in Asheville before returning home for a week-long homestand July 12-18.
