Leigha Shove of Hampton, Va., caught her first trout while fishing with her grandfather Patrick Hall of Mount Pleasant. They caught the fish in Horlbeck Creek using a mud minnow for bait, and since it was a little short of the legal minimum size limit she also learned a valuable lesson in conservation by releasing her catch.
