K. Hovnanian shows off sales success

The marketing launch of K. Hovnanian’s Four Seasons at Lakes of Cane Bay brought in $5.3 million from 16 home sales, part of the active-adult community’s “VIP” opening event.

“Highly-motivated homebuyers and their families” took part in the June 24 sales kickoff in the Summerville neighborhood’s nine-home model park. Buyers came from 10 states along the Eastern Seaboard, and there were also local residents. Based on prior interest, they were invited to be among the first to select one of the original 61 homesites in the “amenity-rich” master-planned community for age 55-plus residents.

The properties include premier lakefront and private wooded homesites.

According to the builder, the K. Hovnanian sales team in the first four days of the marketing fest sold 16 houses at a $331,250 average.

“We made a great first impression in the Charleston market, and our team is thrilled with these initial results,” says Sam Abruzzo, senior community manager of K. Hovnanian’s Four Seasons at Lakes of Cane Bay.

“Our model park with its nine different and fully-furnished homes wowed everybody,” he says. The new Lakeside Home Collection was well received, he adds. “Buyers recognize our quality craftsmanship, excellent finishes and thoughtful design — and this location is just superb,” Abruzzo notes.

The Lakeside Home Collection includes more than 15 designs “that appeal to homeowners who are looking to move to a more efficient, low-maintenance home,” the company says. Houses reflect the South Carolina Lowcountry style while “specifically designed to suit the active 55-plus lifestyle,” K. Hovnanian says.

Four Seasons “brings the best in luxurious 55-plus living” to Summerville, a short drive from historic Charleston and South Carolina beaches, the builder says. The gated community boasts a 300-acre lake and eight-mile navigable waterway, “perfect for fishing, kayaking, boating, paddle boarding (and) birding,” according to K. Hovnanian Homes.

The community also features a top-notch amenity center with a 21,000-square-foot clubhouse, indoor-outdoor saline pool, pickleball, bocce and tennis courts, demonstration kitchen, kayak launch, amphitheater and yoga studio. The center will be open in 2017.

Four Seasons opened its sales center to the general public at the model park in Lakes of Cane Bay.

K. Hovnanian Homes, a division of Hovnanian Enterprises Inc., describes itself as one of the top 10 homebuilders in the U.S. This is the company’s first 55-plus community in South Carolina. The company is already known for new home neighborhoods in Savannah, Hilton Head Island, Lady’s Island and Bluffton.

Founded in 1959 by Kevork S. Hovnanian, the company has its headquarters in Red Bank, New Jersey. It builds in 14 states and Washington, D.C., under trade names K. Hovnanian Homes, Brighton Homes and Parkwood Builders.
