Recently, Sen. Larry Grooms sent a letter to the Berkeley County School Board along with 50 other lawmakers to show their disappointment that they will not be reciting a Christian prayer before the School Board meetings. The S.C. Legislature has nothing better to do?
The U.S. Supreme Court has decided these matters of church and state. When the Supreme Court upholds your gun rights, no complaints from the Republicans. When the Supreme Court rules that gays can have the right to marry, complaints. When the Supreme Court states that a woman has the right to choose, complaints.
Sen. Grooms, please deal with the issues that matter to everyday people, like fixing roads, funding our schools and keeping the peace in this state. You are not the moral compass for all South Carolinians.
