Lon Shull’s passing recently was a loss to many.

I am writing from the perspective of the Charleston Men’s Chorus. Twenty-five years ago a few singers recognized the need in our community for a male choral group.

From a humble beginning we grew into the Charleston Men’s Chorus. It was early on in this process that Lon agreed to be our director. From that point on we began to grow, attracting many singers. Lon did a magnificent job of setting the foundation for the chorus we are today.

His passing leaves a void in the musical community of Charleston.
