It is naïve for people, particularly politicians, to think restricting gun purchases will reduce gun violence. The only reason this approach is being taken is to make it look as if they are doing something or that they care.

They are ignoring the real problem — evil people. Changing the hearts and minds of evil people is far from easy.

Of course we cannot bring in religion and the teachings of Christ, like “love your neighbor as yourself.” A first step, which is a no brainer, is to put the Ten Commandments in our schools and to focus on them in class.

It is unfortunate, but one of the main operating procedures for progressives is chaos, so solving the gun violence or evil person problem is not a progressive’s goal.
