Before I was a firefighter, I was a college strength conditioning coach, and I have a background in nutrition. So I wake up at 5 a.m. and I have a protein shake in the morning for breakfast. It’s just whey, but it’s chocolate-flavored.
During the morning, I had a handful of almonds, and then for lunch, oatmeal with protein powder and blueberries mixed in. It’s what I eat every day.
Then for dinner, I had 10 hardboiled eggs without yolks. It’s a nutritional thing. You throw all the yolks away but two. I just put salt on them. I’ll usually have steamed asparagus or green beans, and I had grilled chicken breast with some kind of seasoning. It’s either barbecue or roasted garlic seasoning: It’s just a shaker.
And at night, I have a special kind of protein shake. It’s called casein protein: It’s a slow-release powder, and it’s chocolate, too.
During the day, I have a 32-ounce tumbler that I keep water in. I refill that maybe four or five times a day. That’s every day for me.
