  • Navy Brig These videos were taken inside the Charleston Naval Consolidated Brig's Special Housing Unit, a wing set aside to handle terrorism detainees. They were provided to The Post and Courier by Ali Saleh al-Marri's defense lawyer, Andy Savage, who obtained them from the Defense Department as part of al-Marri's criminal case. They were recently declassified because of that case. Several show al-Marri inside his cell. Others show him getting an eye exam and talking with medical officials and guards later in his six-year detention in the brig.
  • A Glimpse of the Carolina Coastal Fair Flower Exhibit Participants and visitors talk about entries in Section E of the competitive Flower Exhibit at the Carolina Coastal Fair this year. Section E can be easily spotted in the back of the exhibit hall by their bright and colorful entries. Many include flashing lights and other creative endeavors.
  • Coast Guard Training The organization, National State Boating Law Administrators has developed a training program along with The Coast Guard to ensure all law maritime enforcement agencies can work and communicate together. The pilot program is currently running in the Charleston Harbor until Friday with several state and local agencies.
