Warren Wise focuses on utilities, tourism, retail and general business assignments. Wise, a graduate of the University of South Carolina, joined The Post and Courier in 1997 and has covered Berkeley County, North Charleston, Santee Cooper, the General Assembly and state government. Wise started his career in Darlington as a general assignments reporter with a focus on city and county government before being named editor. He later became managing editor at The Easley Progress in Easley before joining The Post and Courier. A South Carolina native, Wise has won more than three dozen local, state and national awards for excellence in journalism, including Journalist of the Year in South Carolina five times.
