Jeff Hartsell, a 1984 graduate of the Honors College at the University of South Carolina, is a sports reporter at The Post and Courier. Among other awards, he's twice been named state sportswriter of the year by the National Sportswriters and Sportcasters Association. He's covered Clemson, South Carolina, The Citadel and high school beats, as well as everything from The Masters, the Family Circle Cup and the NBA and NFL to the Cooper River Bridge Run.
