10-year anniversary of the raising of the Hunley

The H. L. Hunley submarine rests underwriter at the Warren Lasch Conservation Center in June of 2001. The hand crank, and bench that the sailors sat on, are visible inside the sub. The white tube seen inside the submarine is an impressed current protection system that holds a titanium wire that oxidizes inside the confederate submarine, reducing corrosion.
