Diamond Prospects
Diamond Prospects Baseball will hold its pro day Sunday at A.C. Flora High School in Columbia. Every high school player in the state who has been selected in the Major League Baseball amateur draft the past five years has attended the event.
The Lowcountry will be well represented, with 10 players attending the invitation-only events.
Local pitchers scheduled to participate include Austin Livingston, Ashley Ridge; Skylar Hunter, Hanahan; Zach Wimmer, Cane Bay; and Patrick Cornely, Bishop England.
Area catchers Nick Bell of Ashley Ridge and Stephen Windham of Summerville will participate in the pro day.
Bret Hines and Seth Lancaster of Hanahan are the local infielders who were invited.
Ashley Ridge's Lorenzo Wright and Summerville's Matt White are the local outfielders who will participate.

Wrestling individual tournaments
The High School League's state wrestling tournaments begin on Wednesday, and the Lowcountry will be well represented when it comes to teams and individual championships.
Three local Class AAAA teams are ranked in the top 10 of the latest scmat.com rankings. Fort Dorchester is No. 7, Stratford is eighth and Summerville checks in at No. 9.
Individually, Summerville's Jordan Wigger is ranked No. 1 in the 120-pound class, while teammate Gavin Perkins is No. 1 in the 132-pound classification.
Summerville's James Sass (106), Fort Dorchester's Javon Jordan (113) and Cody Williams (138) are ranked in the top three, as is Wando's Antwon Wright (160). Stratford's Austin Koile (170) and Noah Shuler (182), along with Fort Dorchester's Myles Moultrie, are the other local wrestlers in the top three.
Cane Bay, at No. 10, is the only local team in the Class AAA top 10.
Berkeley's Di'Andre Robinson (120) is the only local wrestler who is ranked in the top three of his weight class in Class AAA.
Defending state champion Hanahan is ranked third in Class AA, while Cross is No. 8 in Class A.
Hanahan's J.J. Johnson is No. 1 in the 120-pound weight division, while teammate Dennis Flores is No. 1 in the 160-pound division.
North Charleston's Moises Lomei-Garcia (120) is the only other local wrestler in the top three of the Class AA-A individual rankings.
The team state championships will be held Feb. 11 at Dreher High School in Columbia.
Stratford Invitational
The Stratford Invitational wrestling tournament will be held Saturday at the school.
The 15-team event will begin at 9:30 a.m., and each weight class will be contested by up to 16 individuals.
Teams who are scheduled to compete include Stratford, Cane Bay, Bluffton, Wando, James Island, Bishop England, Stall, Hanahan, Battery Creek, Georgetown, Bamberg- Ehrhardt, North Charleston, Beaufort, Chesterfield and Berkeley.
