The third annual Charleston Film Festival at the Terrace Theatre unspools March 1-4, showcasing 10 feature-length movies and more than 25 local film shorts.

Opening the festival will be Charleston documentary filmmaker Liz Oakley's "Awaken the Dragon," which tells the story of how the ancient sport of dragon boating transformed the lives of a group of individuals.

Shot in Charleston, the picture was made with a local cast and crew.

Other highlights include "We Need to Talk About Kevin," with Oscar winner Tilda Swinton, and Ewan McGregor in "Salmon Fishing in the Yemen," along with Ari Pinchot's "Follow Me: The Yoni Netanyahu Story."

Live action and animation also will be featured in the Academy Award shorts, joined by three film shorts from the Art Institute of Charleston ("The Standoff," "Cubicle Wars" and "Solitude") and Tyler Ilgen's "Hidden Treasures."

Tickets are $10 per screening or $77 for a full festival pass. Tickets go on sale Feb. 1 and will be available online at www.terracetheater.com or by calling 762-4247.
