Spring Sports Registration: Dates: Through Jan. 27. Spring Womens 8v8, Men's Soccer and Spring Youth Sports.

Raising the Barre Fitness Class: This workout combines the best of Pilates, yoga and ballet to tone, strengthen and shape up your body. Hazel Parker Playground. Mondays and Wednesdays, 4:15 and 5:30 p.m. Cost: $10 for drop in class; $40 for five classes ($8/class); $65 for 10 classes ($6.50/class). BYOM (bring your own mat) and be sure to wear socks with a grip as class takes place on hardwood. Call 958-6485 for more information.

Daddy-Daughter Date Night: Feb. 3 at Bees Landing Recreation Center. For more information, call 402-4571.

Adult Fitness: 6-8:30 p.m. Mondays and Tuesdays. 6-7:30 p.m. Thursdays. Arthur W. Christopher Community Center. Ages 18+. $5 class or $35 month.

Ballroom Dancing: 2-4 p.m. Saturdays. Arthur W. Christopher Community Center. Ages 18+. Cost: TBA.

Jujitsu: 6-8 p.m. Mondays. Christopher Community Center.

AEROBICS: James Island Recreation Complex. Classes include interval, step, weights, body bars and stretching. 9-10 a.m. Tuesdays-Thursdays, 5:30-6:30 p.m. Mondays-Wednesdays, 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday. Ages 16+. $5 class or $35 monthly pass.

Gardening Class: Brownswood Nursery will be teaching this-one hour gardening class the first Wednesday of every month from 10-11 a.m. It will be fun, fast-paced, and focused on inspiring and empowering you to become a better gardener. $10 per class. SweetGrass Basket Weaving: Noon-2 p.m. Fridays at St. Julian Devine Community Center. $50/month (materials not provided). Learn to create sweetgrass baskets, fashion jewelry, handbags, lamps and more. Call 724-7332.

Courting Kids Tennis Program: This entry-level children's program provides youths ages 5-17 with tennis instruction. The cost per child per session is $10 for city of Charleston residents, $25 for nonresidents. Call the Charleston Tennis Center at 769-8258.

Swing Dancing: Charleston Swing Dance Association's weekly Saturday night dance. Open to adults of all ages. Every Saturday night at Hazel Parker Playground. At 6 p.m., advance/intermediate lessons; 7 p.m., beginner lessons; and 8-11 p.m., open dancing. Admission is $5 (lesson and dance included). Call 958-6485.

WALK, RUN OR ROLL: 6-8 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays and 8 a.m.-noon Saturdays in Hampton Park. Park is closed to motor vehicles.

Saturday Water Fitness: Class 9-10 a.m. at W.L. Stephens Pool (indoor). Call 769-8260.

Water Aerobics: W.L. Stephens Pool. Call 769-8261 for schedule.

Yoga: Learn to relax and exercise your mind and body in new yoga classes. Classes are for all levels and ages. Mondays/Wednesdays, 6:45-7:45 p.m. Tuesdays/Thursdays, 5:30-6:30 p.m. James Island Recreation Complex. $5/class or $35/month for two classes per week. Call 795-5678.

AQUAEROBICS: 7:30-9 a.m. Monday-Friday, 9-10 a.m. Monday and Friday, 6:30-7:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 10:15-11:15 a.m. Saturday at W.L. Stephens Pool. Cost: $2 seniors (55 and up), $3 adults.

Adult Hip-Hop Class: $10/class, or $15/two classes the same calendar week. Participants of all abilities may join. Classes are held at the Daniel Island School Gym 7:30-9 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays. Westside Dojo: Christopher Community Center. Jujitsu, Mondays, 6-8 p.m.; karate do, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6-8 p.m. $35/month/student. Call 724-7338.

Zumba Dance: 6-7 p.m. Wednesdays. St. Julian Devine Community Center. Join instructor Erica Girth. Call 724-7350.

ADULT ZUMBA: Bees Landing Recreation Complex. Zumba is a fusion of Latin and international music that creates a dynamic and effective fitness system. For adults only. $5/class. 6:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.
