COLUMBIA -- Jackie Bradley Jr.'s RBI base hit in the bottom of the eighth inning broke a 2-2 tie and Kyle Enders tacked on a sacrifice fly as South Carolina (10-8) opened Southeastern Conference play with a win over Tennessee (14-4, 0-1) on Friday night.

Gamecocks reliever Ethan Carter retired the Volunteers in order in the top of the ninth to preserve the victory. USC finished with 6-4 edge in hits.
