South Carolina 8-10, Brown 4-7 (baseball)
Columbia -- South Carolina swept Brown, 8-4, 10-7, in a baseball doubleheader at Carolina Stadium.
In the first game, Parker Bangs homered and drove in a career-high four RBIs and Blake Cooper worked six innings for South Carolina (10-4).
In the second game, USC scored seven runs in the bottom of the fourth inning and reliever Jay Brown allowed just one run in 4 1/3 innings of relief for the win.
The Gamecocks and Bears (1-5) close out the series today at 1:30 p.m.
