EVERY FRI.-SUN.: Canoe or kayak tours. Audubon Center at Francis Beidler Forest. 1-5 p.m. every day (with an additional 9-11 a.m. tour on Saturdays). Paddle past thousand-year-old bald cypress trees in virgin swamp forest as an Audubon Society naturalist points out and discusses the plants and animals native to Four Holes Swamp. Four-hour tours are $30 for adults, $15 for children; Two-hour tours, $20 for adults, $10 for children. All equipment provided. Reservations required. MARCH 17: Catch the Leprechaun 5K Run/Walk. 6:30-9 p.m. Mount Pleasant Memorial Waterfront Park. Celebrate St. Patrick's Day with a 5K featuring live music, a post-race party, a pot of gold for the winners and prizes for runners who finish before the leprechaun. Race and party, $30; party only, $20 (includes food and drinks). Race will be environmentally friendly and will showcase green initiatives.

MARCH 20: Second annual Double Dip Bike Ride to benefit Louie's Kids. 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Starts at Sewee Outpost, U.S. Hwy. 17. MARCH 20: Daniel Island 5K Race and Walk. 9 a.m. Race begins and ends at Bishop England High School on Daniel Island. Awards ceremony and festivities will be held after the race. Proceeds benefit the Bishop England cross country and track and field programs. $25 with shirt/$20 without shirt; day of race, $30 with shirt/$25 without shirt. MARCH 21: Customer Appreciation Day. MARCH 22: Respite Care Ministries' sixth annual Golf Tournament. Seabrook Island Golf Club. Money raised during the tournament will be used to offset the cost of providing care and support to families affected by Alzheimer's disease or a related form of dementia. MARCH 28: The 19th annual Lowcountry Cajun Festival. Noon-6 p.m. James Island County Park. Bringing Louisiana to the Low-country, there will be Zydeco music, Cajun and Creole food, a crawfish-eating contest, children's activities and more. $10 per person.
