Lawmakers remember fallen SC military members

COLUMBIA — South Carolina lawmakers are honoring 10 members of the armed forces who died over the past year with a ceremony in the state capital.

The Senate Republican Caucus says relatives of each of the military members are receiving a state flag and the Order of the Palmetto Patriot during the ceremony on Wednesday in Columbia. A luncheon is also part of the event.

The families are also being introduced and recognized in the state Senate chamber after the ceremony.
