Traffic to Mount Pleasant on Ravenel bridge slowed

A multiple vehicle wreck on the Don Holt bridge earlier this afternoon is causing problems on the Arthur Ravenel Bridge.

The wreck on the Don Holt occurred in the eastbound lanes about 1:50 p.m. At least one person was confirmed trapped inside an overturned vehicle as of about 2 p.m., according to officers talking on radios.

The closing of the westbound lanes to Mount Pleasant had a serious impact on the Arthur Ravenel Bridge. Northbound traffic to Mount Pleasant was backed up as of 3:34 p.m.
