Goudelock, Simmons, Wells earn honors
The College of Charleston's Andrew Goudelock and Jeremy Simmons and The Citadel's Cameron Wells were named to the All-Southern Conference men's basketball team as selected by the league's coaches.
Wofford junior forward Noah Dahlman, who averaged 17.4 points and 6.3 rebounds, was the player of the year while Terriers coach Mike Young, whose team finished with a 23-8 record including a 15-3 conference mark, was picked as coach of the year. Simmons was co-defensive player of the year along with Western Carolina's Brigham Waginger. Wimmons led the league with 2.1 blocked shots a game while Waginger was first in steals with 2.7 per game.
Davidson guard J.P. Kuhlman (12.7 points, 3.4 rebounds, 3.3 assists) was the league's freshman of the year. The Citadel's Harrison DuPont (6.0 ppg, 3.8 rpg) and Charleston's Willis Hall (5.6 ppg, 3.4 rpg) were both picked to the all-freshman team.
Wofford's Tim Johnson also made the all-conference team, making the Terriers and the Cougars the only schools with two all-conference picks.
Dahlman, Goudelock and Wells were all-conference picks for the second straight year.
