Benefit ride

The second annual Palmetto Master Link Benefit Ride will be held March 20.

Hundreds of motorcycle enthusiasts will join together for a benefit ride for Haiti.

Registration is at 10 a.m. at LowCountry Harley-Davidson (front and back lot). The ride leaves at noon. An after-ride celebration will be at 2 p.m. on the back lot.

Donating $25 per bike in the ride, all money will go to Water Missions International.

The benefit ride will span about 40 miles and go across the Ravenel Bridge.

Brain injury walk

The Lowcountry Brain Injury Awareness Walk will be at 10 a.m. March 13 in Brittlebank Park on Lockwood Drive in Charleston (across from the Charleston Police Department).

The event will be sponsored by the Trident Head Injury Support Group, AmeriGas and HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital. Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m., and a minimum donation of $10 is requested. A T-shirt and other items come with the donation. The walk will take place rain or shine.
