Today

• The Harborwalk Festival Car Show, sponsored by Winyah Cruisers, will be held in downtown Georgetown. Registration, from 9 a.m. to noon, is $20. Contact Woody O’Quinn at (843) 546-2954 or oleane@sccc.tv for more information.

• A cruise-in will be held 6-8 p.m. at Andolini's Pizza on Coleman Boulevard in Mount Pleasant. The event is free and open to everyone. Contact Brad Lustig at (843) 367-1060 or bradlustig@earthlink.net for more information.

• The Ribbons Fest for a Cure will be held 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at Knights Satdium off Interstate 77 in Fort Mill. Registration is $25. Tickets are $10 a person; kids 12 years old and under free. A show will follow 4-8 p.m. at Rent-N-Roll Wheels, 4400 South Boulevard in Charlotte. Tickets are $10. There will be stereo, exhaust’, horn, neon and hop offs and 20 awards categories. Today-Sunday

• The South Carolina and Central Carolinas regions of the Sports Car Club of America will be having their third annual “Black Lake Shootout” races at the Michelin Proving Grounds in Laurens. The event is an inter-region competition as well as a points event for each region.

July 4

• The Hartsville Fourth of July Festival & Car Show will be held at Emmanual Baptist Church in Hartsville. Registration is $25. The event, sponsored by Koss Motor Sports, will have arts and crafts, music, rides and games.

July 7

• Bessinger’s Bar-B-Q will host an Open Car, Truck & Motorcycle show 6-9 p.m. at the restaurant at 1602 Savannah Highway. Registration is $5. Classes are street rods, trucks, motorcycles, and cars for years 1900-42, 1943-59, 1960-71 and 1972-2010. Three trophies per class will be awarded. The Cruise-O-Matics will perform. July 10

• The Low Country Mustang Club will sponsor a Cruise-In & Car Show 6:30-8:30 p.m. It will be hosted by and held at McAlister’s Deli, 4950 Centre Pointe Dr. by Tanger Outlets in North Charleston. Registration is free. There are 15 trophies to be awarded, 10 for open categories and five for Mustangs. Proceeds will benefit Camp Puff N Stuff: donations are accepted. July 17

• The monthly edition of the 2010 Southern Mustang and Ford/Hooters Summer Scorcher Series will be held 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at Hooters of North Charleston, next to Northwoods Mall. The events are every third Saturday.

• Lowcountry Muscle Car will be having a car cruise, beginning at 3 p.m. Vehicles will meet at the Southern Mustang and Ford show at Hooter’s in North Charleston. The cruise will be to Gilligan’s at the docks in Moncks Corner. For more information, visit gmccullough@sc.rr.com.

Aug. 28

• Coastal Carolina Corvette Club will present its first “Summer Cool Down” Indoor Car Show from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Omar Shrine Temple, 176 Patriots Point Road in Mount Pleasant. This is a pre-registration show only and is limited to the first 80 vehicles. Registration, which is $20, must be received by Aug. 11. There will be 30 trophies awarded by class size and a Sponsor’s Choice Best in Show Trophy. Classes are Corvettes; sport compacts; Mustangs; street rods; trucks; and years 1900-62, 1963-71, 1972-89, 1990-2005 and 2006-present.
