SUMMERVILLE -- Police arrested one suspect and are looking for another accused of robbing a man at gunpoint outside of his apartment Thursday night.

The victim told police that he had finished moving into his apartment about 6:30 p.m. at Farmington Village Apartments at 1719 Farm Springs Road when two men approached him with a pistol and demanded money. The victim gave the men $220, according to an incident report.

The first officer who responded to the call saw two men running in a parking lot, away from the apartment where the call came from. The officer found one of the men beneath a truck in the parking lot of a nearby business. Officers arrested the suspect after a brief struggle, the report states.

A witness told police she saw a second suspect get into a white Lincoln Navigator, which was pulled over hours later by the Dorchester County Sheriff's Office. The three people inside the sport-utility vehicle said they gave the suspect a ride to Harleyville because he was a friend but didn't know anything about the robbery. They all refused to identify the man, the report states.

Two of the occupants inside the Navigator were allowed to go, and a third was detained on pending warrants.

Authorities later identified the second suspect as Demorick Kortey Green, 20, of Harleyville. He is wanted for armed robbery.

Police arrested and charged David Anthony Kelly of Reevesville with armed robbery.

Officers found a gun behind a bush near where the officer had first seen Kelly, the report states.
