Whole Foods to carry gRAWnola products
By Warren Wise
Hanahan-based raw food company gRAWnola will now be carried by Whole Foods Market in all 20 stores of the supermarket chain's South region, which includes South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee.
gRAWnola is the raw foods version of granola and is available in 1.7-ounce bars, and 3.5-ounce and 10-ounce bags of cereal nuggets. It's free of gluten, dairy, soy, preservatives and peanuts.
Created with no refined sugar or flour, gRAWnola is created by sprouting, soaking and germinating nuts and seeds. Soaking the seeds unlocks the nutritional value of nuts, pumpkin seeds and buckwheat. Ingredients include pumpkin seeds, almonds, apples, pecans, walnuts, dates, raisins, buckwheat, agave, lemon, lime, cinnamon, Celtic sea salt, orange oil and vanilla bean.
"When I heard the news, I was elated," said Ken Immer, holistic chef and creator of gRAWnola. "This is a dream come true. We work hard to create a product that allows people to grab a snack that is nutritional, delicious and that speaks the language of the body."
The product is available in more than 200 stores in 15 states.
