A Charleston police officer was involved in a minor wreck Thursday night while driving the wrong way on a one-way street.
No one was hurt in the head-on collision and damage to both cars was minor, S.C. Highway Patrol Lance Cpl. Bob Beres said.
The wreck happened about 8 p.m. on Athens Court near Romney Street as the 2007 Ford Crown Victoria was rounding a 90-degree turn and struck a 1998 Lincoln Town Car.
Officer Thomas Bailey, 26, was not running lights or sirens at the time, Beres said.
The officer was on patrol at the time, according to Charles Francis, public information officer for the police department.
Beres said the wreck is under investigation and that it hasn't been determined whether charges will be filed.
